Good for water aerobics exercise and physical therapy in a pool.
Very well made and good quality. I suggest reading the description, as this is not a life vest type belt.. however it’s GREAT for water aerobics and physical therapy in a pool for sure! The main reason I bought it!I bought one for my 77 yr old husband who can’t swim, and didn’t want to get in a pool. He thought it was a life vest and said he didn’t think it would keep him from drowning. (The pool’s shallow end is 3′ deep and hes 6′ tall!) I told him that’s not what it’s made for. It’s to help with buoyancy so you can exercise in the pool with more freedom of movement. He’s had a back injury years ago and can’t do regular exercises, but he is getting more exercise now that he gets in the pool! He still stays in the shallow end and that’s ok, he’s getting exercise he wasn’t before.He is now comfortable enough to get in the pool, and do some stretching exercises. We go to the pool at our local recreation center. I’ve already recommended the belt to others.

This belt was great for deep water aerobics this summer. I had to remove two of the floaters to get it to be tight enough around my waist, but the good news is that you can remove them or space them further apart, depending upon your waist size. I’m 5’5″ and weigh 145, typically wear a size 6 and I was able to use it (with 2 floaters removed). I lent it to one of my friends who wears a size 18 and she was able to make it work for her too. I think this belt should work well on most people.

Buoyancy and floatation
This does help with floatation while in water aerobics classes. The only con is that the belt doesn’t stay in place. I have to keep readjusting. However, that is not a big issue.

Outstanding for adult swim lessons
This product has been exceptional when I am teaching adult swim lessons. It gives a good amount of buoyancy while still requiring the swimmer to put in a small amount of effort. As the swimmer becomes more confident panels can be removed to decrease buoyancy.If you are looking for a swimming aid for a larger adult than I would highly recommend this product.If you are looking for a safety product for a non-swimmer, this belt will work but the person on the water would probably feel safer in a vest style product.While I recommend this product for use in a swimming pool, it is probably not suitable for rapidly moving water such as rivers and beaches.

This belt is comfortable!
This is the most comfortable aquafit belt I have tried. You will need to adjust it to your waist size (in my case I removed 4 of the float pods) but after doing that you will be very pleased with your purchase.

Latex allergy reaction from a “non Latex” product?
I am highly allergic to Latex (any natural rubber product), and as such I always dig deep into what a product is made of. Since this belt is a swimming device, I looked even harder. Per the description, no rubber nor Latex specific was used in this product. My body says otherwise!I included pictures, this flare/breakout/reaction took 5 minutes! Like a peanut allergy, cross contamination happens in such manufacturing. Since my reaction mirrored the belt and additional panels (4 removed to make it fit me) coupled with how long it took to react, there is Latex all over my belt. I’m posting this so others who have Latex allergies will know to be aware.
