Get the sleep you need
Amazing. I am the type of person who’s mind goes a million miles when laying in bed and usually I distract myself with watching TV – sometimes way past my time and then waking up with a lack of sleep. so i tried something different and let me tell you. it helps me to stop thinking too much and just focusing on the sounds. i don’t even notice drifting off to sleep but wake up refreshed and energized the next morning!

WN50 – I have the hardest time falling asleep at nights. I’ve tried so many different remedies and nothing really worked. I always heard people mention nature sounds help a lot so I gave in and bought this. All I can say is wow! These days I’m fast asleep in 30 minutes. The rain sounds help me the best but they have a few others that I play just as some relaxing background sounds. My sleep is priceless so this was worth every penny.

not the white noise that I’m used to
Any other noise machine I have used that has had white noise option has always been more of a fan noise, the white noise on this one is more like a radio station that won’t come in right. I don’t care for it, because that type of noise irritates me. My husband bought it for me for my birthday back in April, but I only wanted it for when we travel for the battery option. I tried it this past weekend for the first time, and I’m so glad that I had my old white noise machine with me as a back up. The only reason that I gave it two stars is because the batteries did last all night (I ran this new one on low and had my old one running to drown it out). Of course I’m past the return period, so not sure what I’ll do. I’m not sure if what this machine considers white noise will grow on me or not. Whenever I tried to turn it up on high volume, it crackled quite a bit making it a lot worse.

The clarity of their natural sounds just weren’t what I’d hoped for.
The bird/nature sounds were good, but the rain & ocean sounds were a disappointment. They were not well recorded. The clarity of their natural, soothing & beautiful sounds just weren’t there. 🙁

Don’t overlook this important aspect when picking the right model
I want to make it clear that there are two different models to choose from and I was sent the battery-operated model for review purposes. My dissatisfaction with that aspect of the product (which is indicated in the video review) can easily be fixed if one chooses the more expensive choice with a USB plug operation.This White Noise Machine from Beurer wins accolades in being very light and portable. It’s the perfect little sound machine to throw into a suitcase to take traveling with you or easily move from one room to another without having to unplug it…However, I would never have opted for the model that is solely battery-operated. For a device that would be continuously playing for hours or night after night, you could easily burn through the batteries (an initial set of batteries are included). However, if you are entertaining a child in room after room, I can see how easily you can transfer this device without having to deal with a cord. Still, the battery-only aspect doesn’t seem ideal to me.That being said, this is a decent sound machine but falls into the realm of being just “adequate.” I am a big sound machine guy. I can’t sleep without soothing sounds playing in my room. However, this device seems more geared toward children with its limited selection of sounds and the inclusion of a “lullaby.” There isn’t even the sound of rain which I think most people gravitate to when buying these machines. Since the device has a very basic, small speaker the sounds have limited fidelity to them.Once again, this is very basic, which is fine, as long as you know what you are getting into.The battery-operated version doesn’t even get very loud. It’s definitely for bedside use only as it certainly isn’t room-filling.My final take is that for sheer portability and for use that may be better geared for children, this is a very capable sound machine. Personally, I would spend $5 more for the USB version that has more sounds and plug-in capability. However, even at that level, this seems more like an entry-level sound machine than the more elaborate room-filling devices I have used (which are usually more expensive)

Great for at home or on the go.
I have insomnia and sometimes white noise helps me relax the great thing about this noise machine is that if you are on the go you can use batteries and not have to worry about the machine going dead because you can set a timer to use. I also like to use the water fall and rain setting it soothes me as well.

The sound loops every 2 to 3 seconds so its a little monotonous but it does the trick. Simple to use and has a good volume level. It does however have an incredibly bright blue light that stays on all night so I have to place it under the bed so it doesn’t illuminate the room.
