Great for swimming, AMAZING for glasses mod!
So I ordered these goggles for my kid, spouse and I to try, with a thought in the back of my head as to something their unique form factor might be cool for. We tested them out, discovered that Kid technically fits into their kid-sized pairs, but feels more comfortable in the adult size (she’s nearly 12 and we have pretty big heads in our family, so that was fine,) and a good day at the pool confirmed these were comfortable, durable and practical for two adults and a tween-age kid.Thing is, all three of us wear glasses. Prescription swim goggles are a thing that exists, but they’re EXPENSIVE. They’re the sort of item a four-eyed like us might shell out for if we got really serious about our scuba hobby again, not so much for things like ‘being able to find your mom/dad/kid/spouse at the community pool without a de facto family game of Marco Polo.’ We cannot help that our vision is remarkably bad, but we can innovate. So anyway, I’d ordered three two-pair sets of these Aegend swim goggles. We’d just confirmed that they fit and worked well. We’d also just gotten our latest glasses from the place we order them online from.As such, I took a pair of my daughter’s that work still, prescription-wise, but have some frame wear, removed the lenses, and added them to the second pair of her Aegend goggles with some black hot glue. Now, this did take some test fitting. We made a template by tracing the goggles onto paper, cutting it out, holding it on her face and having her touch her own eyelids with a mascara wand to show where I’d need to line up the focal point of the lenses. But we made it work, they fit comfortably, and for the first time, we had glasses-prescription swim goggles.(I don’t know if you can tell this was Kid’s idea. This was Kid’s idea and I went with it.)So I promptly took apart an old pair of mine and did the same, this time using a photograph Kiddo took of me wearing the goggles to get the lens-alignment right, and finally, we got Spouse/Dad’s old glasses into some goggles for him using a picture as a surprise via the same method. He was stunned, then delighted and we wound up going back to the community pool again, as the headaches which come of spending time glassesless when one really needs them…yeah. We’ve solved that problem.I suspect that’s IN NO WAY what the nice people of Aegend company expected us to do with their excellent goggles, as convenient as it was of them to sell them in two-packs so we’d have a ‘control group’ for our mad goggle experiments, to integrate a sensory-friendly pair of smooth rubber earplugs right onto every strap and to even enclose a noseclip that I don’t dislike, which is a marvel of design, frankly, as from a sensory perspective, noseclips are normally rather crap. Theirs aren’t bad. The way they have a dual-adjustment and quick-release at the back of the goggles, which is SUCH a blessing both for long hair, for those of us whose hair has any kind of a curl to it, and for anyone who ever gets a bit overwhelmed and needs to quickly remove the tight/pinchy/’actually super comfortable but you have an eyelash in a weird place and are about to melt down from it if you can’t get the goggles off and fix it right-dang-now’ swim accessory, that’s an incredible step forward. The wider range of vision, so you don’t feel claustrophobic, as well as the broader, frankly safer, ski-style goggle that cushions out impacts and allows for glasses mods is pretty amazing. It’s a great value for the money as it is, and they send you two!(You may have grasped that there’s autism in our family. Yeah. Also astigmatism and myopia. The glasses thing is normally the bigger inconvenience.)Anyway, I’m fairly sure Aegend didn’t set out to be an ‘Accessibility Product of the Year,’ but considering the sensory, moddibility, affordability and ‘they come in enough colors that families can keep whose is whose straight,’ they’ve succeeded where I’m concerned.Oh, and they also “look incredibly cool and Eighties,” according to Kid, who wore hers with a denim vest to school for Spirit Week. So…yeah. 11/10, would recommend.

My daughter’s new favorite googles!
I purchased these for my daughters for our recent trip to the indoor waterpark. My daughter is prone to having ear aches after swimming so the fact that these have built in earplugs is so important for us. She wore them all three days and said they were so comfortable she didn’t even notice them. The quality of them is top notch. My daughters said they didn’t have issues with them fogging up as they switched from place to place (different water temps). Great value for the money spent. 10/10 would recommend again. Adjustable to fit my 6 year old all the way up to my 13 year old.

My daughter no longer fear the pool.
Fits well, cute, clear vision, and kept water away from eyes.Product quality is excellent for what I paid for. My daughter now enjoys pool and water parks a lot more.Highly recommend this product.

Just for chilling not for lap swim
I understand the concept but it’s not there yet. It doesn’t keep the water out and not helpful at all for lap swim. If you just want to wade by the pool I guess this would be ok, not for exercising though like not even for a simple slow freestyle. Other than that kids might like these.
