I have been a fan of Osprey products for a while, so expectations were on the high side for this item…but I am happy to sat that it definitely met and exceeded them all the way around.
Here are some things I love about it:
1. It's very comfortable. I mostly abhor fanny packs because I feel like people are lying when they say that you barely notice it's there, etc and so on LOL. This one made me rethink that stance as it's the first one I have put on where it didn't annoy me in the first 5 minutes I had it on because it's so comfy and moves with you.
2. It's breathable. It's made of !00% mesh, so you don't feel quite so sweaty and gross when you are active with this on, unlike the regular canvas fanny packs where this is generally an issue for me.
3. It holds a lot of stuff! The main pocket has space for your phone, earbuds case, keys, wallet..and much more.
4. The belt is a bit more narrow than your average fanny pack, which is probably why it's so comfy…and it adjusts very well. You can tuck the excess material in with ease, too, so it's not flapping around annoying you.
5. The bladders hold quite a bit of water…though a tip: rinse them out well before using them, because they are made of plastic that's malleable – so the water can taste plastic-ish the first time out.
Worth noting that the bladders are a good size themselves…easy to put into the bag even when they are full since they aren't rigid.
7. Nice construction that is sure to make this bag hang around for a long time and hold up to whatever I throw as it.
Now folks, let's not ignore the fact that this is a $65 fanny pack. And that seems like a lot. However, if you have ever owned an Osprey pack or any of their other products, you know that they are exceptionally well made products that LAST. So is it worth it? A resounding YES.
Even though this is probably going to appeal to runners/joggers, it would actually work well for hiking and tons of other activities. It would make a great gift, too. I highly recommend this item!
