Impressive for the price
I’m 54 and in good shape but wanted to work on my cardiovascular fitness. I have been wanting to purchase a rower for quite some time and almost bought the Aviron for (2400.00). I didn’t really want to spend that much money. So I took to Amazon and checked out several rowers. I came across this one at 18,000+ reviews for a really cheap price (compared to 2400). It’s a good, solid machine and my husband said it was really easy to put together. It’s not as a good as a high end machine and it’s a bit difficult to explain why. First – the foot pedals move so it’s difficult to get a good push off from the heels. It works well enough but it’s lacking in that area. The machine is quiet for the most part (seat moving makes a bit of noise). The resistance is easy to change and I can see the display just fine. My other issue is the pull…it just feels off especially if you are following a video and they want you to pull high or do bicep curls. It’s minor but enough to notice. Like I said it’s difficult to explain. I’m not doing any major rowing on it…a few times a week for 20 minutes. And if I stop using it I’m not out 2,000 bucks. I’m happy with the purchase.EDIT: I keep having pain in my legs and butt and I don’t know why. I can’t adjust the seat or pedals.

Whisper quiet, good resistance, great customer service, good assembly, fairly easy to store.
I enjoy this better than the concept 2 machines I use in gyms. In fact, now that I have this, I’m done with the hassle of gym workouts.I bought the RW522016, which is the slightly upgraded model from the base model, so I don’t know what the base model would be like. One of my reasons for paying a little more is that the rowing machine is going directly above the bedroom of our downstairs neighbor’s 4-year-old son and we wanted to go for the quietest machine possible. That is what we got! This rower is silent. I would have no hesitation using this in the middle of the night. You cannot hear it 6 feet away.Assembly: I had some trouble finding the instructions–would have helped to have a QR code on the box–and then the ones I found didn’t match the glide rail I had on step 3. But I called customer support and with 0 wait time got a super-competent American support person who walked me through the last half of assembly. One important pointer she gave me, which isn’t in the manual, is the lift up the glide rail in order to insert it during assembly. In the end, I was missing a spring washer for the computer hinge, but there was an extra flat washer and I used that instead since it’s not a moving part. Altogether, assembly took about 45 minutes.Exercising: Some reviews complain about not enough resistance, but I would dismiss those concerns. For me, a moderately fit 60+ year old, this has plenty of resistance and I feel an arm/shoulder workout within a minute at the 4/8 setting. But my hyper-fit wife also finds herself not needing to max out the resistance. Like I said, this machine is smooth and almost totally silent. The computer measures a lot of stuff, but since it’s not using personalized data like weight and so forth, most of the stats are hypothetical. There is a separate holder for a phone or tablet, so you can watch your stats and your videos at the same time. Time flies when you are looking at 2 screens. The ergonomics are good, with no conflict between footrests and handlebar trajectory.Storage: I use this in a small room that doubles as a study and a nap-room. So it has to foldable, easy to set up and put away and more or less unobtrusive. Folding involves removing a pin and loosening and removing a knob that holds the rail level where it inserts into the body of the rower. It’s not the most sophisticated system, but it works and it fairly quick. Once the rail is folded up, it can be tilted and wheeled into or out of its storage location. For me, at 5’11”, it is easy to move this. it’s a bit harder to leverage for my wife, at 5’5″, but she manages. As you can see from the photo, we store it with the rail against the wall for aesthetic, safety and space-saving reasons. This involves not just lowering the rail to use it, but moving the rower out and turning it around in the space. It’s easy enough.

Good for the price
It was easy to assemble with very clear directions and all of the screws and smaller pieces were well labeled. The resistance settings are decent and had no issues swapping between them. The rail slides nicely and the cord retracts well. The stat tracker is fine, a bit basic but I wasn’t expecting fancy. I didn’t try the app at all so I’m not sure if that gives more info than the one on the machine. While it’s no Concept2 it’s a good product and a good workout. There are some things I think could be improved though. The foot rests I feel move a bit too much. I’d like it more if they were more stationary. I’ve tightened the screws down as much as the provided tools will allow and when I’m returning to the start position the foot rests tilt up slightly which I could see causing some ankle issues. Also the wheels to move it are not in the best position. I have to tilt the machine pretty far forward to get the wheels to make contact and I did accidentally scratch my floor when trying to move it. The other thing it could use is some anti-slip pads on the front and back legs. I have my machine on a very smooth laminate wood floor and it slides around a bit when I’m pulling with force.TL:DR: For the price it is a good rowing machine. It’s not a Concept2 but if that’s what you are expecting just buy the Concept2. It does have a few minor issues but overall a good machine.

Excellent value
This is the quietest rower I’ve ever used. It’s smooth and has decent number of levels of resistance. Very stable and doesn’t move on a wood floors during a vigorous workout. The rail is plenty long for a 6’ person. The assembly instructions were the best I’ve ever seen. The smart screen was kinda quirky at first and wasn’t registering my rows. But once I synced it with my phone in the app, it worked just great. Honestly, this rower is better than some I’ve used in professional gyms. The only thing I wished, it had more resistance. Just gotta go faster or longer. But then you get a solid workout.

Exactly what I was looking for
I love my Sunny Health fitness machines! They are excellent quality, the instructions on assembly is very easy to follow, and the machine itself is perfect for what I was looking for! And Sunny Health has an app for you to use with your machine to track your activities or videos to help get you moving! With winter upon us, I was looking for an option to exercise at home, and I really enjoy what a rower can offer on getting some extra movement/mobility in, and you really can get a full body workout from this machine! Decent price and the weight limit was another factor, I knew the equipment would be sturdy!

J’ai acheté ce rameur pour me remettre en forme sans impacts négatifs. Il fonctionne très bien et a été facile à monter grâce aux instructions dans le guide ainsi que l’illustration des pièces toutes numérotées et illustrées. Très bon achat.

I purchased the Sunny Rower and although am pleased with the product can only give it three stars due to the following. When we assembled it we found in the very last step that we had two left feet components and no right foot. We immediately contacted the company who said that we could have a replacement but would have to pay shipping to Canada as their warranty does not cover Canada. I said that as this wasn’t even breakage but a packing issue this seemed unfair however they refused to budge on the shipping charge. It ended up costing me over $35 to get the correct part to complete assembly. Not impressed at all
