I am a long time user of a variety of Zulay products. Not only because the products are high quality but that the interaction with customer service is like no other. I am trying to live a healthier lifestyle and I had been wanting to try water infusion for a while so I was excited to see that Zulay offered a fruit infusion bottle. It couldn’t be easier to use. It is pretty foolproof. Pop your favorite fruits, veggies or even tea into your infusion bottle and add filtered water. Then wait for the magic to happen.Here are a few tips that I have learned through trial and error:* If you plan to infuse your water with anything citrus like lemon or lime longer than a few hours you will want to remove the peel and pith. Leaving it in can make your water taste bitter.* Don’t be afraid to try different combinations. Berries like strawberries, blueberries, blackberries and raspberries. But also combining things you wouldn’t normally like watermelon and mint leaves, strawberries and basil or honeydew and mint leaves.* I always infuse in the refrigerator so that it stays nice and cold. You could choose to use frozen fruit but it won’t taste quite as fresh. It does help to keep your water cold and to allow a little longer infusion time.* Keep up on your infusion times. I noticed when I infused too long the first time my strawberries started to get bitter.Like most people I don’t like plain water. It just does nothing for me and I have a very hard time drinking plain water. This is helping me to drink more water and actually look forward to it! I don’t think anyone drinks enough water.The guidelines are:About 15.5 cups (3.7 liters) of fluids a day for men. About 11.5 cups (2.7 liters) of fluids a day for women.Having measurements on the side of your bottle will remind you to drink and keep you hydrated throughout the day.

Decent water infuser
This water bottle holds a lot of water and has a nice big infuser. I can basically put a whole cut up lime in there, which is nice. However, the description when I bought this says “Keep the seeds and pulp from getting your way with the built-in filter.” – The filter holes are HUGE. They absolutely let out pulp and seeds and I’ve had times where they have caused me to cough at the unexpected intrusion. If there’s supposed to be a finer mesh filter for seeds/pulp, it wasn’t in the package I received.Otherwise, not a bad little infuser. I’ve laid it on it’s side and it didn’t leak and it’s been through the dishwasher (top rack) a couple of times and come out fine. I am curious as to why they put down time hashes instead of volume hashes on the side of the bottle. I’d much rather know the amount of water in there instead of this weird “8am-5pm” thing they have going.

I love everything about this water bottle except the color.
This is the best water bottle I have ever purchased. What I like about it is that it has a great seal, I don’t have to worry about it tumbling over and spill all over. It fits in my car just fine. I can put Lemon, lime, fruit or whatever to give water a better taste. It is wide enough to clean easily. The size is perfect. I looked for several on Amazon but couldn’t find anything, then I decided to go to Zulay store on Amazon and after browsing I found this. In my previous experience with Zulay they do stand by their product. I just do wished that all colors where the same price, the pink I ordered is too light to my liking but it was the most affordable one. But other than that I am very happy with this water bottle.

Pros:- Cute design. Loved the color and sleeve as well as the time marks.- Good size and easy grip.- Great idea and good recipes!Cons:- Kind of hard to clean for certain foods/fruits. Strawberry and lemon were the ones I had trouble with (other berries worked fine). Residue would often get stuck in the infuser part and trying to get the stuff out with your hands isn’t easy (and lead to a few cuts because of the sharp plastic).- Poor seal and clasp. The seal wasn’t great and often leaked when the liquid inside sloshed around and the clasp never wanted to stay in place.- The sleeve was a hassle to get on and off, making cleaning it even more of a sigh-worthy task.I will also add that I was strangely emotional and tired during the week to two week periods I would use this for (everyday use). I understand that tritan plastic is one of the safest known food use plastics and I never confirmed if the water bottle was the source of my weird feelings (so I’m not including this element into my review), but I did notice a stark difference in emotion and energy between the times that I regularly used this product and times I didn’t. So just a warning if you tend to be sensitive to plastics (BPA, BPF, and BPS free or not) like me. 🙂

Favorite water bottle
I’ve been using infuses water bottles for years and only had to repurchase because I’v broken tops by poorly securing my bottles. On the newer bottles, I see they improved the top by replacing rubber piece (flip feature) with metal. Ease of use to fill, add fruit, etc. is fine and the bottle is easy to clean and transport (hook accessory). You can also add some ice (not too much w/infuser) to keep your water cool on those very hot days.

I have owned this water bottle for a couple of years now, and I am pleased to report that it is still performing admirably without any issues. I initially purchased it to encourage myself to drink more water, and specifically for the infuser, which I utilize regularly.I did notice some reviews mentioning cracking upon being dropped, but I am fortunate not to have encountered that problem. I have dropped it in the office, outdoors, and within my home, and it remains free of cracks. Perhaps I have simply been lucky. Nevertheless, even if it were to crack after two years of use, I would not be upset.It is a pity that it is only available in this particular color, as I would have liked to purchase one for my wife, who also enjoys infused water.
