Great Blender for Everyday Use
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐This Oster blender works and is very powerful. The 16 speed options make it easy to blend everything from smoothies to soups and sauces. It crushes ice and frozen fruit with no problem, and the motor feels strong and durable. The glass jar is sturdy and easy to clean, and overall it offers great quality for the price. Nice lightweight blender, does everything I need it to do.
I am really happy with this blender.. it is much lighter weight than my Vitamix, and for what i am using it for, it works just as well. It came with the food processor attachment, so I only need one appliance for both jobs.And since this blender blade works with a mason jar, I can also use it for blending right in the jar, for things like salad dressing, that I want to blend and then store in the jar.I ordered a second blending cap, so now i do not have to disassemble the blender base to use the mason jar to blend.

Burnt Motor after 2 Uses
Unfortunately, this blender started to smoke while on the grinding setting .I was grinding rosemary leaves, with oregano, basil and chives. This was my second time using this blender. It was not loaded to max fluid capacity. I do not know if the blender still works …as I discontinued use immediately.

Good blender, bad food processor jar
Bought the Oster Precise Blend 16 with the borosilicate glass (the generic term for Pyrex) blender jar and plastic food processor jar about 4 months ago. It works well as a blender, but the food processor jar is different story.The food processor jar is soft plastic, so anything hard like sugar or salt will scratch and cloud the jar surface, even after one use. The plastic jar lid is secured during operation by latches that engage projections on the jar with a twist. Unfortunately, the latches are not securely attached to the lid, so normal forces cause the latches to shear off the lid (photo shows broken latch at bottom).The worst part is that Oster’s warranty coverage does not apply unless there is a code stamped on the blender’s power plug prongs or a proof of purchase sticker on the box. My blender came without either, so Oster would not replace the broken lid.Amazon would not replace the broken part either, but did offer a $20 credit for my trouble. It’s better than nothing, but leaves the question of what to do when I need a food processor. This experience has been very frustrating because an otherwise fully functional device that could be easily repaired remains broken.Ideally, the food processor jar would have been made of a sturdier material and better designed, and Oster’s warranty coverage would have been consistent with their manufacturing/packaging practices. While the blender works well and would get a 5 star rating as a standalone product, it is only half of what I paid for, so 3 stars feels appropriate.

I really wanted this to work since it got glass jar, is mason jars compatible and got food processor attachment, but on the first use its starts shooting sparks from bottom and smells burnt, its looks like item was packed by manufacture, however the box was close with generic packing tape. I’m hesitating to order it again, maybe was just unlucky, pitty they won’t allow you to replace just send it back for refund.EDIT: for all UK buyers: DON’T buy it because US blenders operate on 120 Volts not within 220-230 Volts, that’s why you see sparks coming from underneath, this product shouldn’t be available for UK market, or it should have a clear warning.
