100L Pack was a Big Letdown. 100L of Heavy Items – No way Jose
this 100L pack could not properly hold the weight I wanted for a backpacking trip I went on last week. 100L Volume does not mean it can hold heavy weight from 80 to 100 lbs properly. It ran too low on my waist down near the buttocks, and the shoulder straps were unreliable in terms of weight distribution, leaving skin damage in those areas. The straps themselves are not designed very well with much padding. This pack would work much better for 100L volume of lighter weight items that are not that heavy. I do not recommend this pack for anything over 50 lbs. Also, the side pouches are not designed well for ease of access. One pouch is supposedly for a bottle holder, and the other is a much too large mesh pouch too far to reach for properly during hiking. Night Cat would be better off looking at other brands and their amount of padding, and design functions. Zippers would also come undone at certain times when the pack was filled to capacity. Could be used for other functions possibly instead of backpacking itself.

Great Size
Its the perfect size, which would fit in overhead on a plane i believe. It was an excellent present for my wife. Also, it would make a good go bag, which is what we are using it for.

Hip belt might stab you in the back
I paid $40 for this pack when it was on special. I think that’s a good deal for what you get and all the excellent features. But I wouldn’t pay more than that. Because as several other reviewers noted, there is a flaw in the hip belt, that depending on your body type, and the weight you put in the pack, might jab you in the back. I can definitely feel it with 15 lbs loaded into it. Is it painful? No. But I can feel it. Would it cause me a problem on a longer hike? Maybe. I’m using it mainly as a day pack with emergency supplies. So I will be experimenting to determine if I need to put some cushioning in the small of my back if used on a longer hike, or overnight. It is certainly more than adequate for an ultralight 1 or 2 day set-up. I like the pack a lot. Other than the back of the hip belt.

Really great small pack
I’m 5’6”, 115 lbs, and this pack was perfect for me in its size, comfort, and functionality while backpack-traveling in Central America. I’m also a backpacking-hiker, and this pack will be great for that as well. Happy with this purchase.

Decent Pack at price point. Have used this for half dozen day hikes and I found this generally comfortable for my body shape. It’s not an Osprey but for folks with limited budgets it is a decent choice.

Pretty good. I have yet to use it but from my experience with larger hiking back packs the waist support on this one could be sturdier so that it will better relieve the strain on your shoulders. Not planning on carrying a lot of weight in this one so it should be OK. Has lots of storage pockets which helps to organize your gear better.
