The padding on one of the sides of the ring came off. I guess it wasn't secured on well. I was able to stick it back but you never know when it may come off again. Other than that the ring is fine and great for practicing pilates. Very sturdy.
I worked my upper legs out every other day using this ring and it is fabulous. I've seen a noticeable difference in a month and being 71 I don't usually get results that fast

I bought this ring because I wanted to practice pilates outside of my usual class. The rings used in class actually have some weight to them and are, dare I say, higher quality. I've seen the Gaiam brand on a lot of expensive things and expected this ring to match that of the one in the gym I use, but: 1. It is feather weight – almost weightless. 2. I've had it for a few weeks and the inner foam pad is detaching (seems like it the adhesive was something like glue?) 3. It feels kinda cheap. If you use it only for balance/transfer exercises, it's fine, but if you're looking to add in any of the abduction/adduction exercises, this ring has ZERO resistance.
