Excellent hiking poles. Have been using them for about a year. Easy to adjust, lightweight, very good for muddy spots, water/stream crossing, uphills and downhills. The cork is nice and comfortable to hold for extended periods of time. Very happy with it.

These are great sticks! I have hiked hundreds of miles on them and they have held up well. Nice light weight, sturdy and easy to adjust. It’s worth spending more for the carbon fiber. Great for ascents and muddy trails.

Reasonably good value
I have used and have high quality poles for many years over mountain trails. There is great benefit to use poles not only for stability but also manage weight on your feet/legs over time. We purchased the Foxeilli poles because they break down small enough for packing in a suitcase and we had also thought they were shock absorbing poles as advertised. They are NOT shock absorbing, maybe the manufacturer considers the cork handles as shock-absorbent? I do not, other poles have systems that actually give in slightly like a car shock absorber. The product’s literature that came with the product makes no mention of a shock absorbing characteristic. In any event, for the trek we plan to take in the UT natiional parks theses poles are suitable, are well made and should survive well. They are light, sturdy, easily adjustable and well constructed. These should work well for our light duty trekking. I’m happy with the purchase.

Superb trekking poles… look no further
First, let’s talk a little about why I bought trekking poles in the first place. Upon retiring, I was healthy and in good physical condition. I love being with nature and one of my many interests included hiking… mostly while on camping trips and in the Appalachians and nearby Sourland Mountains (central NJ).Faster, Safer HikingI had never used trekking poles before and felt like I didn’t need them. Yet, after joining a local hiking and outdoor club, I noticed a large number of members using trekking poles on a regular basis and seeming to rely and benefit from them. After I started to notice some knee pain from making steep declines down rocky slopes where my legs would take a pounding, I decided to give them a try. Guess what? No more knee pain. Not only that, but with the extra balance the poles provided, I found myself a faster hiker. I was also less likely to fall on slippery terrain. Rock hopping to cross a stream suddenly became much easier with two poles in the water or on adjacent rocks to help balance. Hikers without poles tended to walk more cautiously through slippery mud, whereas I could maintain a nice cruising speed without slowing down, as I had two extra limbs with which to keep my balance on the ground. About the only time I don’t bother with poles is if I know in advance that the ground will be firm and flat.Quality poles, affordable price.These are great trekking poles… I just bought my second pair so that I can keep one pair at home and the other with relatives (where I also hike), so I don’t have to worry about transporting them on the airlines.What’s to like about these poles? Everything:- Very lightweight and strong (as one would expect with carbon fiber).- Flexible so don’t have to worry about misshapen poles if one occasionally gets jammed between rocks or caught between boards on a boardwalk or catwalk… at least mine have survived minor pole jams intact thus far whereas older aluminum poles did not fair as well.- Quick adjustment is great for changing length when transitioning from flats to uphill or downhill.- Collapses easily by flipping tabs to store nicely on pack or in car or at home.- Cork handles are very comfortable in any climate- Hand straps easily adjustable for custom fit- Easy to share among friends and family, since pole quickly adjusts in size- Easy switch to large baskets for xc skiing- Durable materials have weathered well across all seasons, as well as through muddy paths and stream crossings.- Not the cheapest or most expensive poles on the market, but in my opinion… the best poles for the money.- Have not found ANY negatives with these poles thus far!Bottom line is that I spent a fair amount of time researching various poles on the web, and asking others for their opinion, and I wound up with these poles. An ok Pole
These are an OK set of poles I like some other commenters thought they were going to be the actual Shock-Absorbent type of pole. I have a single pole from Cabela’s that is an actual spring loaded Antishock pole that you can turn on or off as desired.These are not those, These are ( as I now see ) Advertised as the Material itself the Carbon Fiber has Flexibility in it, It being the Pole itself, Allegedly the Pole has give in it to help absorb impact, If it does it is more than likely just the pole Bending a bit, No scientific proof on my part just my observation after using them on Trail.They are a good sturdy strong light weight pole easy to adjust, Though if you move the Height of the adjustment you will need to loosen or tighten the screw on the clamping feature each time as well as doing so after you have collapsed the poles for strapping to your Backpack when not in use which can be annoying, That is just the difference between the twist and the clasp type of pole.Collapsed down depending on which Boot you may have on the bottom they should be about 24″ to 25″ long.Mine weighed 8.20 oz each when new I put some Elec. and Duct tape on mine as a way to carry those on Hikes so mine do weigh a little more. The advertised weight is 7oz so unless my cork grips have sucked up 1.2oz of sweat not the case.I did have one instance where a pole came apart it was in a wet / muddy spot and there was no indication ahead of time that any such defect was about to happen both poles were doing fine, When I put the pole back togeather it has never happened since and I did no gluing or anything to it.The Cork hand grips as advertised are Great for absorbing Moisture from your hands if you tend to sweat and do not wear a glove or fingerless glove I usually wear a fingerless but at times have not and the Grips are fine, Also if you extend the poles to a very long posture for down hill you can use the EVA foam sleeve under the Cork Grip and not have to adjust the pole height.Some 1 star commenters have talked about Early Severe Breakage I have no idea what some of these people may be doing to there poles but mine are Very Strong being used properly I have a hard time believing that some of these breaks are not from miss use, I have Hiked Hundreds of miles with these poles and other than the coming apart instance the one time these have been very good poles, I only gave 4 stars because I thought they were going to be Spring Loaded Antishoch not just the Material.The Flashlight is very bright 9 leds takes 3 aaa batteries and weighs about 1.80oz if you were inclined to use this for Hiking there are no adjustments just on and off.All in all a good set of sticks I just miss read how they were advertising the Shock Absorber aspect of the Poles.

Ho fatto sei trekking in patagonia (compreso il Fitz Roy) tra natale e la befana con un paio di bastoni comprati da Lidl per 20 euro. Sono tornati perfettamente integri. Ho allora deciso di comprare questi bastoni che dovrebbero essere professionali, leggeri, indistruttibili. Si sono rotti al primo utilizzo durante una passeggiata in un bosco.

This review is for the Foxelli Carbon Fiber Walking/Trekking Poles. These are fantastic quality at a very reasonably price. Being carbon fibre they are very light weight and are easily adjustable with markings on the side and flip locks to lock the sections. The grip is made of cork with a foam rubber lower grip, the straps are very comfortable and are clevery adjusted without the use of a buckle. They came with snow baskets, mud baskets, road feet, normal feet/tip covers, carry bag and a belly/bum bag. I have never had trekking poles before so took them out to some flat ground nearby and I got on with them very quickly. They will help my walking on Dartmoor and will increase my stability going up and down rough ground and crossing streams etc. They are extremely good value and I can’t wait to get on the moors with them.
