Why Pay More When This Machine Is All You Need
As a half price alternative to the Concept 2, I feel that it matches the more expensive rower on almost every point and in some ways improves on it. The rower has excellent resistance adjustments that take if from fairly easy to quite difficult, and of course rowing faster raises the difficulty. It took me about 20 minutes to put together, you simply bolt together a few parts to make the two major assemblies. In fact, getting it free from the excellent packing takes longer than assembly. It splits at the middle for easy storage, and is rock solid after reassembly. If you have used a Concept 2 rower, this is practically a clone with no downgrade in sturdiness and the rowing feel is almost identical. In fact, the seat is much more comfortable. The only real downgrade from the Concept 2 is the display panel, but since I use the EXR app exclusively with my workouts that is not an issue for me. Links up seamlessly with your ipad or phone app through Bluetooth. I am not a light guy and the machine is rock solid, I have felt no slipping and it is steady under me no matter how hard I row. I feel like I got a great bargain on a quality piece of workout equipment.

Merach R11 Air Pro Rowing Machine for HomeI give this 5 stars because it is perfect for my needs and the price was a steal. The resistance seems a bit weak, it is too much for me now, and on high I can only row for a short time… but, I feel like I will eventually outgrow it. Maybe in a year… When/if that day comes, I will experiment with adding weights to my arms and legs. It is LONG! 7’11” it is not tippy at all. The glide surface is not painted and shiny smooth so you do not need to worry about the seat chipping the paint away by wear. You cannot hear the chair slide at all, perfectly machined and zero wobble! …and, the fan seems quieter than a window box fan. It is around 100lbs in the box so if you are not already strong, you will need help with it. The FedEx guy lifted it up and set it on my porch like it was a feather, he was showing off! Without a doubt, this is pro equipment! I have done a lot of research on rowers and this one shines above all others in current price, durability and function. The chain is a HUGE plus, the recoil is immediate, and no worries about a canvas strap wearing out and needing replacement. This is really the ticket, grab one while supplies remain available!

Great Machine But Hard to Read
This is exactly the kind of machine I was wanting, and I’m greatly enjoying it. I usually row for 30 minutes while listening to music or watching a program on my phone. However, I deducted a star, because the performance monitor is of very poor quality. It isn’t back lit, which makes the information very dark and impossible to read during workouts.

Great rower for the price, nearly identical to Concept 2
*Edit* A year and many thousands of meters of rowing later, I still feel the same as the below review and am still very happy. *I’ve done Crossfit off and on for about 15 years now and rowing is one of my very favorite ways to exercise. Due to current life situations and location, we set up a garage gym at home and I was looking for a rower that would not break the bank but give me the same function I was used too. I had previously tried a smaller rower thinking the compact size would be nice, but it did not have enough length for me to use a full stroke. I’m only 5’8” but with long arms and legs and can max the chain out on a Concept 2 when using a full stroke and rowing hard. This has the exact same reach where I am just shy of smacking the handle into the front bar at a full stroke rowing as hard as I can. This is perfect and if the Concept 2 fits you, this one will as well. In fact, nearly every part looks identical between the two.With two exceptions. The foot rest on the Merach is a much stiffer plastic that is a little harder to adjust and not very comfortable on the heel due to being a little too stiff and sharp. Not a deal breaker, but especially since I prefer to workout barefoot, less comfortable. And as others have mentioned, the monitor is different. It has all the functions, I would just greatly prefer to be able to lock the screen onto showing meters/time, or calories/time, etc. Instead, what it does is scroll back and forth through all the metrics every 5 seconds which is a bit annoying as it seems to be always showing whatever one I don’t care about when I glance up at the screen. Again, not a deal breaker for stuff at home, I’m not trying to win anything that 5 seconds would make a difference for, but it is kind of annoying. If Merach offered upgraded foot rests and monitors, I would buy those and add to this machine.Even given those two less than ideal things, it is still a great machine and I am loving using it. It is a surprisingly solid for the price, and truly feels like all the parts came out of the same factory as the more expensive machines with the exception of the two things noted above. It only took a couple minutes to assemble with one person. And yes, you can stand it up to store just like a Concept 2 without taking it apart in the middle. I love rowing with this and am very happy with what I got for the price. I plan to use it for many years and would happily buy again. If you want a very solid rower for a pretty decent price, I would say go for this one with no hesitation.

Excellent piece of equipment!
I absolutely love this rower! Solid and smooth and another great workout to add to my fitness room! It’s quiet, fits in the right space and my husband and I were able to put it together without any problems!

Quality, Value & Performance + useful app
My first rowing machine, and purchased based on research that air rower of simlar construction provide full workout and exercise for all range of resisand effort.It arrived well packaged without issue. Was easy to assemble with only a few pieces and screws, complete within 30 minutes. Note it is a large and somewhat heavy machine.Then added Merach app on my device, created account which provides 180 days of “Pro” access. Then linked machine to account.The app has many challenges, classes, workouts that to my surprise have been one of the great benefits of the machine. When using the workouts and classes it really helps pass time, and ensure proper form and stretching.*Only issue is the app can be buggy at times…The machine quiet, high quality, and performs with all the resistance that I have expected.Highly recommended and a great value for at home machine compared to C2 machines.

This was easy to assemble and does exactly what I hoped for in terms of exercise. There’s plenty of resistance at even the 5/10 setting and the operation is smooth and trouble-free. It links to the Merach phone app fairly consistently (sometimes I have to bind it again first instead of just connecting) but that’s a minor issue. I wish it linked to my Garmin but again, a fairly minor issue. Overall, a very good machine and I look forward to years of use from it.

Simple assembly. Screen could use a backlight. I use the Merach app on my phone to better see the stats. The app also has useful lessons and challenges. The rower itself feels just right and is very well built.

Item is exactly as advertised. It was not difficult to assemble the few pieces required and simple tools are provided in the package. Care must be taken to prevent damaging some parts. Overall, pretty easily done. The delivery packaging was very sturdy and prevents damage but can be tricky to remove. One item preventing 5 stars is the app that is advertised to make the most of the rower use. It is supposed to connect to IOS via bluetooth and while it appears to be connected, will not operate as intended. The included screen allows for tracking and measuring performance and mechanically the unit has been great, however the poor app performance detracts from the overall experience.

I’m updating my review because Merach made this right and then went above and beyond. My rower initially arrived with a defective screen, which was frustrating, but their customer service followed through and fully resolved the issue. I now have a working machine and it’s been great so far.Things can go wrong with any product. What matters is how a company handles it. Merach stepped up, stood behind their product, and took care of me. I appreciate that and would recommend them.
