    Not wimpy!!
The leg massager is quite strong even on the minimum setting. I find it works best for me to hold the control, and cycle through foot, calf, thigh manually when it gets tight enough. If you have extra large calves and thighs, you may want to measure first to make sure it will fit.

I wouldn’t call it a massager but it does offer a host of benefits for those with neuropathy.
Some years ago I broke my back in several places and while surgery to stabilize it was successful, I developed an autoimmune disorder, adhesive arachnoiditis, along the way that causes quite a bit of pain as well nerve damage. I am always looking for something that can help alleviate the pain as best as possible and massage/heat therapy is always something that works a bit better than the rest. When I saw these I knew I had to give them a try. They reminded me of the ones I wore while doing my physical therapy.I have had the chance to use these several times and I have yet to find a true massage mode. Perhaps I am misunderstanding what they mean by massage, but for me I expect something that states “Massage” to have either a vibrating mode or in this instance pressure cuffs that fill/release reasonable at a continual interval almost like a masseuses hands would. So far the all the settings fill with air and hold it for fairly long periods before releasing. The time difference before filling seems to be about a minute between fill/release/fill again. While it does seem to help, it doesn’t really seem like a massage. The controller lists Auto, Pinch, Press, Foot, Calf & Thigh. There is a Strength(Intensity) setting, which is the amount of pressure the device will deliver which are listed as Min, Mid & Max as well there are 2 heat settings, Low(113F)/High(122F). I will say the heat settings are fantastic. They deliver the right amount of heat for the different settings or your needs, and even with the pressure cuffs at full pressure you can still feel the heat.In terms of the strength that the cuffs deliver, I have not been able to use more than the MIN setting and that at times has been WAY too much. As only the thigh cuff can be adjusted by velcro while the “boot” that covers the foot and lower leg, zips up the front. I have the large pair and at times felt like the pressure around my calf was not only too tight but that it might break a bone. I have ended up having to shut the device off to get relief. They do come with an instruction booklet that lets you know the individual settings and how much pressure is being delivered to the particular cuffs in each intensity setting. However under the mode setting instructions there are drawings that show the way each will progress during the cycle. As I said, I really like the heat and the pressure for my foot has really been nice. For my foot that is an area most affected by the neuropathy caused by the adhesive arachnoiditis, but I will keep trying the other settings to see if I can find one that suits each area. I do like the timed mode, it shuts the system off after about 20 mins(my stop watch had it just a bit over that) which means if you get super comfortable and fall asleep, you need not worry about it running for an hour or more.

    High pressure
Got these for my daughter who’s very active in sports. They were a little big on her right now at about 5’4″. She usually likes compression and massage on her legs but she did not like these. She said the pressure was way too high even on the lowest setting. The heat was good and they were fairly easy to put on. I think they can be great for some people but they just didn’t work out for her.

    Works like a champ
These are well made and fairly easy to put on. I have these that also cover the knee, but like the knee-less option for when knees hurt and the pressure is uncomfortable.Controller is easy to operate, once you get familiar.

    Too tight!
Despite wanting to love this product, it was way too tight. The pressure reached 260 mm Hg in the foot, 235 mm Hg for calf and 190 mm Hg for thigh, which are the smallest pressures. Looking online, this seems to be higher pressure than should be used for these compression massages. it felt as though it was going to cut off circulation . Unfortunately, it did not relieve pain; it caused pain. It can be stored in little space which is good, because it will be stored for quite a while before it is attempted again.

    Good pressure device
These work as intended, the pressure system is good. They are easy to get on once you’ve done it a couple of times and figured it out. One con is that sometimes the lowest pressure setting (out of 3) is still too strong, would be better if there was a lower option. It’s also not as much of a massager that moves around, it just has pressure/squeezes.
