These are excellent walking sticks at a good price!TLDNR: I enthusiastically recommend them and appreciate the seller’s outstanding customer service.Details: These are well designed, with precise tolerances that give them a high-quality feel. These sticks adjust easily (once you figure out the locking system; hint: the bottom section just needs a *slight* twist and pull to unlock or tighten it) and they hold weight solidly, without slipping. On a steep hike, up and down two miles, I had none of the issues that a few reviewers report. I can only suspect that they didn’t adjust the clips tightly enough (I recommend paying the extra $1 for the the model with metal, rather than plastic, clips). The hand grips are comfortable–I much prefer natural cork to synthetics–and the band adjusts easily for a precise fit. I appreciate how easily these poles collapse. I bought them for traveling and was happy that they fit easily into my carry-on suitcase without taking up much room. Before flying, I was bracing myself to have them confiscated by TSA. I had seen some reports from folks who couldn’t get conventional sticks through TSA checkpoints, because the points were somehow seen as a potential weapon. But I decided to take the risk. In the end, I passed through screenings at three different airports on my trip without any problem. I did keep the original rubber tips in place, so maybe that’s what got me through. I can’t speak to the quality of other tips that are provided, but the default tips hold up well. Finally: I need to praise the excellent customer service from the seller. When I had a minor issue, they kindly provided a replacement set and didn’t even ask me to return the originals. It’s so satisfying to find a merchant who fully stands behind their product. If you need collapsible hiking poles, buy these. They are good enough for regular use, even if you don’t need them to collapse.

Update: 1st 2 sets broke, but still good poles. Comfortable, stable, easily adjustable
One of the first set of poles was defective so I ordered a replacement. Each 2-piece pole is shock-corded and must be inserted into each other, then twisted clockwise to lock them together. One of the poles would not lock. I examined the internal plastic parts that do the locking and could see no obvious cause for the issue. The risk is not easily avoided: all 2-piece poles have a way to lock together and probably use a similar mechanism. The 1-year warranty encouraged me to exchange the defective poles and try again. The replacements worked fine for a day-hike in Rickett’s Glen, PA. One from the 2nd set of poles broke after being used once for hiking in crusty snow. A metal piece snapped off that secures the two pole pieces together. After I sent the seller a photo, they send me a new set right away, no questions asked. I think that any 2-piece poles could have the same problem. So I still like these poles and just don’t recommend using them in crusty snow. I think it more important that the seller backs up their warranty, and this seller does.The poles assemble quickly and easily, needing about 40 seconds to set up. The pole length adjusts to fit my 6’ height, and can accommodate taller people. The flip locks are easily adjusted for hold strength using screws. The cork handle fits my Large male hand comfortably. The hand strap is soft and wider over the back of the hand for additional comfort, and pre-twisted so it lays flat when fit around my hand. Unlike most poles, the strap length is adjustable and I did make use of that. TIP: Adjust the strap to a height so that your palm just reaches the palm groove on the handle. The attachment tips fit snugly. The inside of the tips have a metal washer and both the poles and tips have ridged lines that should help keep the tips on longer. Still they will eventually be lost, but appear to support standard 11mm replacement tips. [The inside diameter actually measures 12mm but replacement tips show the same discrepancy.] The baskets screw on firmly and are unlikely to come loose. The cord-locked storage bag easily fits the poles, and there is room to slide all attachments down the side.These poles come with an instruction sheet that includes a direct contact email and website. Compared to other poles I’ve used, these are comfortable, stable, and easily adjustable. I think they are an excellent value for the price and if not for the defect in the first set would rate them a 5. But like any 2-piece pole, there is some risk with breakage and defects.

Walking can be a whole lot easier with the right tools/
The walking sticks are light and sturdy. It’s easy to adjust them and they do not collapse with use.
