I absolutely love this backpack for hiking. It is very lightweight and spacious. I love that it has a place for my phone that is easily accessible. I love that I have the option to put in a water pack as well as a convenient place to put my keys, they easily clip into the inside of the pack. It’s a must have.

When I first noticed this very handsome backpack on Amazon, I was surprised at the amazing asking price of only $22.99 (at the time of this review!). At such a measly price point I was sure I was going to be disappointed when the pack finally arrived.Fortunately, as amazing as the price is, the backpack itself is just as amazing. First off, the pack can carry much more than I expected. For such a compact size, its main compartment is practically cavernous inside. We were able to fit a 17: laptop along with its mouse and charger, 4 college textbooks, a bag lunch and a thermos. There are zippered pockets on the inside and the outside and a cellphone pocket on a front strap.The pack fits easily over the shoulders and is very comfortable to carry. If you don’t want to carry it over your back, you can also tote it via the handle on top.The back is made of tough but soft polyester on the inside, outside and the lining. It will withstand however much you can pack into it and won’t easily tear or rip because of accidental contact. The polyester surface is easy to keep clean and can typically be wiped fresh with a damp cloth. Despite paying next to nothing for this pack, it should last through many school seasons.The bags are available in beige, black or pink. We chose the beige option and we’re very pleased with it. My wife has been using it to go back and forth to her job and reports that it is easy to carry on her back and by the handle and she’s received a number of compliments from her colleagues on the bag’s attractiveness.Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m not claiming that this is a hgh-end luxury back pack by any means; but it is well made, attractive, and highly functional – and all for a great price right now on Amazon. It is more than worth what you would pay for it.It’s great for any level of school, the office, hiking or even cycling. You can probably find many different uses for it and you won’t be disappointed.

For the price ($29.99 when I ordered) this backpack is a lot nicer than I expected it to be. It is incredibly lightweight, but still seems to be made well. There aren’t any loose threads or fraying edges – all of the seams are fully enclosed or covered with trim. The zippers open and close smoothly, and the pulls are easy to grab on to (not just the little metal tabs). The colors are accurate in person to what I see on my screens (computer and phone). The buckles all feel like they’re strong/sturdy enough to keep up with the rest of the pack (like, they’re not SUPER heavy duty, but neither is the rest of the backpack, so they’re an appropriate amount of sturdy, I think). The fabric isn’t the actually waterproof kind that we can tell (so if you’re caught in a downpour for more than a couple minutes you might run into a problem), but if it gets splashed or if you spill something the first bit of liquid should roll off of it pretty easily. There’s a decent amount of length available in both the shoulder and waist/support straps, and you have the option to tuck the waist support straps into the lower part of the backpack padding if you don’t want/need to use them so they’re out of the way. I was pleasantly surprised to find that my phone actually fit into the phone storage pouch on the strap, but was a little bummed out when I realized that the pouch is not removable or adjustable (location), which means it sits a little too high for my liking so I’ll probably end up using it for something else a little less bulky (IDs, cards, etc.) instead. Aside from making the phone pouch adjustable or removable, the only other thing that would have made this better, IMO, would have been if the large/main compartment was split into two separate, slightly smaller ones, just for better/more organization options. Even with the couple of little things we noticed (more water resistant than waterproof, phone pouch, and compartment separation) for only $30 this is still a really great pack.
